Easter and Spring Fun

I'm trying to catch up, I know I'm behind with Easter pictures, but hey, I'm lucky to have any at all to put up here with how Tate is about getting his picture taken. We have the cutest cousins ever too!!

We also went to the Zoo with Ellie, Brinklee and Payton, went to the Discovery Gateway Museum on a field trip (tate loved pretending he was the weatherman), and Tate tried skateboarding for the first time. That was a rather hilarious, very short experious since Tate has no coordination when it comes to things like that (I love my child, but I have to be honest).

Instead of trying to balance Tate kept posing, Kevin was calling it his Super Star pose.

April Quilts

Dyanne's Quilt

Dy is a coworker and was my clinical instructor while I was going through the xray program.  She is retiring tomorrow and is a huge Steelers fan.  I am a huge fan of high contrast colors so I am loving the black and white....

 Adam's Baby Quilt

Adam is also a coworker whose wife is pregnant with their first baby.  I love, love, love this quilt!

The Year of the Quilts

This year I decided to make everyone in my family quilts for their birthdays. (um, yes, I am a little out of my mind). I am loving how they are all turning out so far and am having fun planning all the future ones.  Let's just say time management has become a HUGE objective for me to work on this year.  It took me a while to get these pictures up but here are the quilts I've done so far.

Payton

For Payt's I decided to go a little retro and keep it simple so it looks more masculine.  I chose the colors to match his room and the Utes, but gotta say it's a pretty classic and great color combo.

Makaylee

This is by far my favorite quilt I have made to date. I wanted to do something that looked like a classic quilt pattern but with a little bit of a modern twist. Love this and love KKs color combo too....

Maycee

For Maycee's I wanted to do something a little more playful and fun and fell in love with this pattern.  I love pinwheel quilts but I thought this was a cute twist on the old standard.

I need to make some of these for myself!!  I have already bought fabric to make my own versions of Makaylee's and Maycee's but it's sitting uncut, waiting.  I went to bundle up in a blanket a couple of weeks ago and had someone tell me I needed to do it in one of my quilts and I realized I only have one, I've given them all away and never made the ones for me!  Gotta get that time management under control and get my quilts done as well...I've got a few more for the family and some friends in progress already and several more in planning stages.  Can't wait to show you more.....
